adidas introduced its own sustainable collection, Clean Classics, which features iconic silhouettes, produced in a vegan-friendly manner. We asked two Czech personalities, influencer Karol Kutilová and barber Delikvent, what sustainability means to them and how it projects into their lives.

KAROL KUTILOVÁ @KAROLKUTILOVA

What does the word sustainability mean to you?

That every individual can have a positive impact on our planet. Not only as a consumer, but also by contributing towards it.

How does sustainability impact your life?

Over the past year I try to focus more on the products I consume. Where they come from how they’re made.

Do you like any brands that focus on sustainable fashion?

I like the idea of upcycling – transforming an old thing into a new one. So I would like to mention ODIVI and their new collection, which features upcycled pieces.

In your opinion, what does our planet need the most?

I wish that we would be less indifferent and selfish. It’s us that create the environment for the future generations. We should be more responsible and take care after our planet.

Where would you take me for a vegan or vegetarian meal?

Although I personally am not vegan or vegetarian, I respect and admire everyone that chose this lifestyle. I always enjoy coming back to Forky’s, a restaurant that serves vegan meals.

DELIKVENT @DELIKVENT

What does the word sustainability mean to you?

Work hand in hand with natural resources while remaining considerate towards nature, it’s necessary to preserve it for the future generations.

How does sustainability impact your life?

I recycle and don’t buy things I don’t need.

Do you like any brands that focus on sustainable fashion? What are your favorite pieces?

Patagonia, by Gerden Markers, VEJA, Carne Bollente, Mud Jeans, Ucon Knowledge Cotton and others. It’s great that even brands like Levi’s are moving in a sustainable direction. It’s a trend and a future necessity.

Do you use any sustainable products worth mentioning?

I usually try to use homemade products made in a traditional manner, but I also use organic cosmetics, for example the brands Viellö and Botanicals.

In your opinion, what does our planet need the most?

For us not to deal with topics such as race, religion etc., and instead focus more on what we take from and give back to our planet. I always say that Earth might be better off without us on it.
