Valery, founded by David Nikolov when he was just 17, is a Czech streetwear brand built on upcycling. David studies design and fashion in Prostějov, where he, in his own words, ended up completely by accident. Sustainability and upcycling are an integral part of his work, which makes Valery a perfect fit for the Footshop Upcycling Project. David wants to create a smaller collection from the provided products - so far, we were able to witness two of his collections, one at Fashion Designer Show Brno 202

Combining a 300-year-old cultural heritage and a 50 year old silhouette into a modern and tangible form wasn’t easy - but we managed in the end. This is historically our first collaboration on a sneaker with three stripes. This is the Footshop x adidas Superstar ‘Blueprinting’. Therefore, we looked for an alternative way of burning, and it turned out great. Who would have thought that shredding is possible for shoes as well? Footsh

The outcome of the current pandemic is still unclear. Thankfully, there are at least some positive aspects to the situation - among other things, most of us have become more considerate and thoughtful of others when we’re feeling under the weather. This is mainly thanks to our face masks - some people praise them, some people might be bothered by them, but we can all agree that in specific situations, they really are necessary. Additionally, face masks make great fashion accessories - so you can combine

Footshop released yet another collaboration on the 23rd of July. This time we teamed up with Italian brand RETROSUPERFUTURE to create two pairs of sunglasses. The Connection campaign accompanying the release sparked an intense online discussion - read the article to find out more about the collaboration. Prejudice makes people weaker. Being capable of acceptance does the opposite. A simple idea that, paradoxically, isn’t a given in some parts of our society. We wanted to utilize the Footshop x RETRO
