Carhartt WIP OG Arctic Jacket
Heavy denim made from organic cotton with a weight of 407 g/m² gives the Carhartt WIP OG Arctic Jacket a sturdiness you'll notice as soon as you throw it over your shoulders. The black denim jacket features a subtly faded effect, rooted in solid workwear, and adapts to your shape with every wear. Looking for a piece that will last for years and only get better with time? Here it is.
The regular fit allows room for a hoodie or sweater, making it easy to layer on cooler days. The collar and long sleeves maintain a classic silhouette. You can adjust the button closure and cuffs as needed, while the drawstring hem keeps the cold out from below. Store your phone or keys in the snap-button front pockets, warm your hands in the side pockets, and appreciate the loop every time you hang the jacket on a hook. The embroidery and print provide understated branding that looks clean against the black denim. Wear it with jeans, cargo pants, or sweatpants, pairing just as well with sneakers as with work boots. The brand's roots trace back to 1889 in Detroit, where Hamilton Carhartt began crafting durable workwear. Carhartt WIP was established in 1989 as a European line that brought this craftsmanship into streetwear and skate culture.

Details
Founded in 1994 by Edwin Faehe, Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) develops custom collections based on original Carhartt workwear. The brand combines authentic adaptations of rugged American archetypes and collaborates with the subcultures that surrounded it. On the other hand, Carhartt WIP also managed to get into new contexts and bring its own classics. From the late 1980s onwards, countercultures around the world adopted the rugged spirit of Carhartt originals workwear and created their own style. With a growing network and a strong base, Carhartt WIP opened its first store in London in 1997 and began to engage in cultural spheres outside its own industry. As a result, the brand established its own skate team and music department, while supporting a number of artists and publishing various publications.
Since 2010, Carhartt WIP has collaborated with a number of like-minded brands including A.P.C., Converse, Fragment Design, Junya Watanabe, Nike and Vetements, as well as working with music icons such as Fela Kuti, Underground Resistance and Vestax.
