Not actively trying to be as trendy as possible often ends up being much more stylish than trying too hard. Vans’ new collaboration with Nigel Cabourn, released under their premium Vault division is a perfect example of this. The collection features six new sneakers as well as some vintage-styled apparel and accessories.
Who is Nigel Cabourn, you might ask. If this is the first time you’re hearing this name, it definitely isn’t going to be the last. Nigel’s a famous British designer that’s been in the game for 40 years now. His collections, just like this one, generally stray from the beaten path. They’re influenced by travelling and all kinds of different cultures, lifestyles and callings of life. For the Vans Vault x Nigel Cabourn collection, Nigel’s colleague and designer Emilie Casiez lent out a helping hand. Emilie handles the women’s section of the designer’s same-titled brand.
Now, let’s take a look at the sneakers. As I’ve mentioned earlier, there are six silhouettes in total, including the Authentic LX, Slip-On LX and Style 24 LX. All of these are recreations true to their OG variations, being part of the Vans Vault division. Take a look for yourself!
