Who wouldn’t want to own a pair of sneakers with their favorite movie character? Whether it’s a superhero, an animated character or Darth Vader, you might be surprised at how many sneaker collabs featuring characters from the big screen there are. Ready?

ADIDAS X MARVEL: SUPERHERO SNEAKERS

To have the whole world at your feet, you don’t have to be a genius billionaire like Tony Stark. Especially if you pick a pair of sneakers with Thor or Hulk, the strongest Avengers. Originally, the iconic adidas Stan Smith sneakers were made for playing tennis, but their clean, low-cut design was just begging to be used for all kinds of collaborations.

And the Avengers from the Marvel Universe couldn’t be left out. Whether the sneakers feature Groot, the treant superhero from planet X, the buff Asgardian prince Thor or the wild Hulk.

Vans x Marvel

Another brand that teamed up with Marvel is Vans. The Sk8-Hi model features Black Panther, the protector of Wakanda. This is historically the first African comic book hero from America, predating the likes of Falcon or Luke Cage. The collection would also be incomplete without a female superhero – Carol Danvers, who you probably know as Captain Marvel.

And if you’re a low-top kind of person, don’t worry. The Slip-on Lites utilize the Hulk’s inhuman strength and the traditional Vans Authentic feature a whole army of Avengers.

The Vans Old Skool model is just as immortal as Marvel’s superheroes, and their retro design is complemented by a green sole in honor of the Hulk, Captain America’s shield is featured on the heel, Thor’s winged helm on the shoelaces and the tongue of the sneakers pays respect to Iron Man.

Whether you’re team Iron Man or team Captain America, the only civil war you’ll start is by arguing about their superpowers over a beer with your friends. But you can double your superpowers by also putting on a matching pair of socks – who’s it going to be, Tony Stark or Steve Rogers?

VANS X THE SIMPSONS: Everyone’s favorite family

It’s no surprise that sneakers featuring the Simpsons family were a bestseller. The 33 series of animated satire and fun have been captivating fans of all generations. And I’m not even talking about the fact that they have an uncanny ability to predict the future.

Lots of brands such as adidas or Converse collaborated with the Simpsons, featuring motifs of the iconic Duff beer brand or the Kwik-e-Mart store.

But the award for the best Simpsons collab goes to Vans. The family appeared on their legendary Vans Old Skool, Era, Authentic and Sk8-Hi silhouettes as well as all kinds of apparel and accessories. If you’re quick, you can still snap up the last chilren Simpsons windbreakers and men´´´ s jackets on Footshop.

South Park’s Towelie

If you’re a South Park fan, you’re all too familiar with Towelie, the weed enthusiast. Whenever he gets worked up in a rage, all he needs is a couple of puffs to turn back into the kind and loveable Towelie.

adidas released a collaborative iteration of the Campus 80s featuring none other than Towelie. The originally retro look featuring modern technologies was a big hit with skaters. And no wonder, Towelie’s eyes turn red when exposed to sunlight on adidas Campus 80s Towelie sneakers.

Limited edition Reebok x Jurassic Park sneakers

The collection also includes a Dr. Alan Grant version of the suede Reebok Club Cs and Mr. DNA’s Club C Legacys. And if you really want to feel like part of the saga, then the Reebok Stompers created specifically for employees of biotech startup InGen are the sneakers for you.

You can pair the sneakers with Jurassic Park-themed T-shirts with a loose, comfortable cut to accompany you on your own adventures.

Converse x Space Jam – back to cartoons

Space Jam and the Tune Squad are back with basketball legend LeBron James. Converse came up with a brilliant, playful collection that perfectly sums up the members of Tune Squad.

adidas x Star Wars

May the force be with you. Whether you’re on the Dark side or a Jedi, the adidas x Star Wars collaboration is ready for you. It’s got everything, down to a Chewy-themed furry sneaker.

adidas x Disney vs. Vans x Disney: Revisiting your childhood

Basically everyone grew up on Walt Disney’s fairy tales and the illustrations are so fascinating. But the best thing about it is that you can relive these iconic stories with Disney’s collaborations with clothing and footwear brands.

Mickey Mouse and Minnie, Bambi, Peter Pan – these iconic characters almost didn’t see the light of day. At the beginning, no one really wanted to hire Walt Disney as an artist – luckily, his brother had contacts at a studio, and this eventually kick started his career.

Two big sneaker brands collabed with Disney – adidas and Vans.

The adidas collab focuses on a clean and simple design, while the Vans collab features the kind of wild and off-the-wall (pun intended) designs you’d expect from them.

Vans x Peanuts – featuring Snoopy

And last but not least, another legendary animated figure – Snoopy, often more famous than his creator Charles Shulz, always reinvents himself in the episodes. He’s a pilot here, a tennis player there, a scout the next time. The whole Peanuts series, which features an unbelievable 17 897 stories, appeared in more than 2600 newspapers around the world, in 75 countries, and was translated into 21 languages.

While designing the collab, Vans really went all out, utilizing every surface on the sneakers.
