The Air Jordan Retro 5 sneakers were first released in 1990. The inspiration for the design of these shoes was the Super Marine Spitfire MkVIII, which was a British fighter plane in World War II. The distinctive feature is the flames located on the side of the outsole. The boots are enhanced with reflective elements and the Jumpman logo on the tongue.
