adidas Liverpool SPZL F.C. Kirkdale II
Looking for men's sneakers that show your love for Liverpool without a jersey or scarf? The Kirkdale II model from the SPZL line by adidas Originals is named after one of Liverpool's neighborhoods and combines club pride with the way fans have always dressed for matches in England. The grey colorway feels calm and mature. You can wear them to the stadium, to the pub for a post-match analysis, or for everyday errands around the city.
The upper combines leather, synthetic materials, and textile, ensuring the sneaker retains its shape while remaining lightweight and comfortable on your foot. The low profile gives the silhouette a clean, retro line, and the rubber outsole provides a confident step on the pavement and wet stadium stairs. Reflective elements enhance your visibility when returning from a match after dark, and the package includes extra laces. They pair nicely with straight jeans, corduroy pants, or joggers and a light jacket. The Spezial line originated as a curatorial project by Gary Aspden, drawing from the adidas archive and the football terrace culture of Northwest England. adidas Originals continues to demonstrate its close connection to both football and the streets.
adidas Spezial
Essence of football culture and archival design - adidas Spezial
Looking for a link between sporting heritage and modern street style? The adidas Spezial collection is a love letter to the brand's rich history with three stripes. Resurrected in 2014 by passionate collector and curator Gary Aspden, this line looks not to trends for inspiration, but deep into the adidas archives. Spezial isn't just about fashion; it's a culture that draws on the legacy of the 70s and 80s, British casualism and the Northern European club scene. At Footshop, we bring you pieces that carry the soul of the past in a premium version of today.
Trainers with soul: From handball halls to concrete cities
The shoes from the adidas Spezial collection are instantly recognisable with their minimalist silhouette and attention to detail. Models such as the Handball Spezial, Blackburn or Lotherton have become icons thanks to the use of premium suede and rubber soles (gum sole), which give the shoes an authentic retro feel. Each model in the Spezial collection has a story to tell - often reinterpretations of forgotten prototypes or rare regional versions of shoes that would otherwise only remain in the collections of the greatest enthusiasts.
Clothing that defines the "Terrace" style
But Spezial isn't just about shoes. It is a complete wardrobe that masterfully balances on the edge between sporty functional clothing and elegant leisure style. The clothing collection includes iconic tracksuits with subtle details, precision-cut jackets (often inspired by workwear or outdoor classics) and T-shirts with graphics that reference adidas' historical identity. Each piece of Spezial clothing is made from premium materials that can withstand the demands of everyday wear without losing their exclusivity.
Why is adidas Spezial a matter of the heart?
People seek out this collection not because of the massive advertising, but because of its authenticity. The Spezial is for those in the know - the connoisseurs who appreciate the right shade of blue on the sole or the specific stitching on the heel. It's a uniform for modern nomads who love football aesthetics, travel and music. At Footshop, we see the adidas Spezial as the pinnacle of a curated approach to fashion. It's an investment in a piece of history that looks as good today as it would have forty years ago.

adidas Originals are not just sneakers but an entire culture that has developed around them. Ever since the brand with the iconic three stripes appeared on the scene, it has shaped the sports world as well as streetwear and pop culture. The history of adidas dates back to 1949, when Adi Dassler laid the foundations for the brand that is now one of the absolute top brands. The adidas Originals segment was created as a tribute to the iconic models of the past. It revives classic silhouettes and adds modern elements to them. It keeps the legacy of sports and urban fashion alive and relevant.
The most famous models include the immortal Superstar, favoured by members of the hip-hop group Run-D.M.C. in the 1980s, or the minimalist Stan Smith, named after the legendary tennis player. If you're looking for something more futuristic, the adidas NMD or Ozweego are great choices. The common denominator of all models is quality materials and technologies like Boost or Primeknit. And of course, timeless designs that never get old.
Over decades of existence, adidas Originals sneakers have won fans among celebrities, athletes and artists. They are worn by Pharrell Williams, Kanye West and skater Nora Vasconcellos. The brand regularly collaborates with leading designers and other brands. Collaborations with Yeezy, Prada or Beyoncé' s Ivy Park clearly prove that Originals models are not afraid to constantly push the boundaries of fashion.
Whether you're looking for something for everyday wear, to pump up the sporty vibe or simply retro classics, this brand always has something that will get you going. Atdy certainly doesn't skimp on comfort, quality and style. Choose your pair at Footshop and be part of a legend.
