Quick lacing system: (Quick Lace System) An alternative to conventional laces, based on the principle of a sliding slider (brake). This system uses high-strength, thin Kevlar or nylon cables that pass through eyelets with reduced friction. The main benefit is the ability to evenly pull down the entire upper of the shoe in one smooth motion, ensuring precise and secure foot fixation. Upper
Suede: Leather with a characteristic brushed finish and a soft, velvety texture. UGG Rollers. A dirty word to some, the best winter boots in the world to others. The UGG brand has literally divided the world into two camps. How did it do it? In 1978 in California, Australian Brian Smith noticed that surfers were quickly putting on the iconic surf boots after getting out of the water to warm up from the icy ocean. One day he discovered that it might actually make a good (not just) winter shoe if made from merino wool. In fact, sheepskin and wool were commonly used in Australia to make boots because of their thermal insulation properties - cooling in the summer, warming in the winter, as well as absorbing odours and moisture. So Brian used his knowledge from his homeland; he discovered that no one in the world made such shoes, so he set to work. UGG Boots became very popular. But their biggest boom came when Oprah Winfrey included them in her list of favourite things and suddenly the whole world had to have them, including stars like Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and Gigi Hadid. Since a certain time UGG doesn't only make roller shoes anymore, but also makes slippers, sandals and has wandered into the apparel waters. They try to make the collections creative, trendy, also focusing on quality workmanship and the right choice of materials. So if you're not a fan of roller shoes, there are other pieces that will make a great addition to your shoe closet.
It's also worth mentioning that UGG makes their collections of shoes and clothing with respect for their employees and our planet. In 2016, the brand also joined the United Nations Global Compact, ranked as the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world. What does this mean?
