Jim Goldberg is an American artist and photographer, who has spent the majority of his life with outsiders, those who are despised by society or even ignored completely. He has imprinted his story onto the Vans x Jim Goldberg collection, which includes Vans Old-Skool or Sk8-Hi sneakers and apparel. It all began in 1978, when Paul Van Doren wanted to create a similar model to the iconic #36, known today as Vans Old Skool. His goal was to design a functional and high-top shoe that will suit all skateboarders and that will provide a whole new point of view. He succeeded and introduced a new model #38, known as Vans Sk8-Hi, which celebrates its 40th birthday this year! Of course he didn´t forget the legendary sidestripe.
