Dr. Martens Lowell Chukka

A broken foot is no mean feat, let alone in war. Dr. Klaus Maertens, whom we know today, primarily thanks to the brand he later founded, as Dr. Martens, found that out . Indeed, it was Klaus's unpleasant experience to which we owe our honest Martens today. When his designs for safe yet comfortable footwear were noticed by Griggs's footwear company in the heart of England, everything took the right direction and momentum. Today, the Dr. Martensbrand stands for quality, durability and safety, but also comfort, as the leather adapts perfectly to any foot after walking for a while.

Martens as a cult

Since 1947, when Dr. Martens shoes officially came into existence as part of the newly founded brand, the leather shoe has become a cult. The shoes have been adopted by many subcultures, especially those associated with listening to hard music. For example, the high rubber sole, the height and also the mesh toe of the shoe became iconic. It was this gadget, which guaranteed greater strength, that proved fatalto Dr. Martens in several places . In England, the country of their origin, Martens began to function as a quality weapon in street battles. That's why, after bans, they had to disappear from some football stadiums and pubs.
