adidas x LABRUM London Collection: A Celebration of West African Heritage, British Tailoring, and Sports Culture

The exclusive collaboration adidas x LABRUM London showcases a unique blend of global sports iconography and the visionary design of London-based brand LABRUM, founded by designer Foday Dumbuya. This collection is built on the idea of storytelling through fashion ("Designed by an Immigrant"), highlighting West African culture, family ties, and a passion for football. The result is a highly aesthetic and culturally rich range that transforms traditional sports silhouettes into premium urban streetwear.

The Story and Aesthetic of the Collaboration: Where Freetown Meets London

LABRUM London is known for its ability to connect elements of West African iconography with precise British tailoring. In this collaboration with adidas, it brings a unique visual language to the world of sports:

• Iconic Patterns and Motifs: The collection heavily features hand-drawn West African prints, traditional textures, and community symbolism. A standout element is the Nomoli motif – traditional stone sculptures from Sierra Leone.
• Connecting Football and the Streets: Football culture significantly influences the collection, uniting people across generations in both West Africa and London. Traditional jerseys and training kits gain a new, elegant dimension.
• Unique Color Palette: Earthy tones, royal blue, cream, and yellow that reference African nature, architecture, and vibrant energy.
• Premium Craftsmanship: Embroidery, structured knits, and attention to detail elevate the classic Three Stripes (Three Stripes) into the realm of high fashion.
