Reebok Premier Road Ultra Trek
The brand Reebok has its roots in Bolton, England, where Joseph William Foster crafted running spikes in the late 19th century. That running foundation is felt in the Premier Road Ultra Trek model. These unisex sneakers in gray combine the sporty lines of the Premier Road series with a more robust, trek-inspired look. You can wear them around the city and confidently take them on a weekend getaway, as they look just as good on pavement as they do on a dirt path.
The upper combines synthetic materials with textiles. The synthetic elements provide durability and help maintain the shape, while the textile parts lighten the load and adapt comfortably to your foot. The rubber outsole gives you reliable grip on sidewalks and dusty surfaces, handling longer walks with ease. With their low cut, nothing restricts your ankle, and you can easily pair them with cargo pants, straight jeans, or shorts and a hoodie. The gray base complements both neutral and bolder colors, making them versatile enough for most items in your wardrobe. Reebok continues to build on its athletic heritage with footwear that fits both movement and everyday life.
Reebok Premier Road
Reebok Premier Road: A Technical Running Archive from the 2000s, Futuristic Geometry, and Modern Y2K Aesthetics
The Reebok Premier Road model line represents a direct embodiment of the best running technologies of the 2000s (Y2K) in Footshop's selection, masterfully transformed by Reebok into avant-garde urban streetwear in recent years. Originally developed between 2005 and 2010 for endurance marathon running, it has now become a cult silhouette for fans of technical layering, Gorpcore aesthetics, and modern design. You'll be particularly impressed by the complex construction of the upper panels, dynamic profile, and balanced cushioning system, which guarantees all-day stability in an urban environment.
Story and Evolution: From Marathon Tracks to Avant-Garde Collaborations
The journey of the Premier Road models from running tracks to the world's fashion runways is built on uncompromising functional aesthetics:
- The Golden Era of the Premier Line (2005–2010): The Reebok Premier series was created as a top engineering solution for runners requiring uncompromising pronation control, torsional rigidity, and maximum breathability. The geometrically intricate design was not just a visual element, but a functional necessity for structurally reinforcing lightweight mesh.
- Modern Reincarnation: Premier Road Modern: In 2020, Reebok, under the direction of designer Evan Belfort, deconstructed the original models from the archive and introduced the Premier Road Modern. This replaced traditional stitched panels with a seamless TPU molded skeleton, creating a sculptural, almost biomechanical profile that immediately captivated global sneakerheads.
- Cult Collaborative Status: The silhouette gained respect through successful collaborations with labels like Kanghyuk and Packer Shoes, placing it among the most sought-after high-end technical sneakers today.
Architectural Construction and Technological Specifications
The Reebok Premier Road silhouette combines authentic period technologies with modern material innovations:
- Multi-layered Technical Upper: A combination of open breathable mesh (dual-density mesh) and structural overlays made from thermoplastic (TPU) or synthetic leather ensures perfect airflow and firm lateral foot support.
- DMX Ride Cushioning Technology and EVA Midsole: The foam midsole with DMX air system absorbs harsh impacts on the heel and evenly distributes pressure with every step on urban asphalt.
- Torsional Stabilization Bridge: The central reinforcement element integrated in the arch prevents the shoe from twisting, optimizes the transition between impact and push-off, and adds an architectural touch to the outsole.
- Segmented Rubber Outsole: The patterned tread with grooves for flexibility offers reliable grip and natural foot movement on both dry and wet surfaces.
Who Wears and Appreciates the Reebok Premier Road Silhouette?
- Fans of Techwear and Y2K Running Aesthetics: The shoe pairs perfectly with loose technical cargo pants, nylon windbreakers, and minimalist utilitarian outfits.
- Enthusiasts of Layered Silhouettes and Details: You'll appreciate the complex material structure, futuristic lines, and unique profile that stands out from the typical retro sneakers.
- Customers Seeking All-Day Comfort: The original marathon biomechanics ensure your feet won't hurt even after a full day spent on the streets or on the go.

Very cool and comfortable
J.W. Foster, the founder of Reebok, created the first studded running shoe (the predecessor of today's trainers) in 1895. Reebok shoes did not begin to be produced under their current name until many decades later, in 1958. The company's name was given by two of Foster's grandsons who found the word in an old Afrikaans dictionary. Its meaning was the naming of a species of antelope, symbolizing the speed and grace that a man running in a Reebok represents.
Reebok footwear gained its fame especially in the 1980s when aerobics was experiencing a huge boom. Women's Reebok shoes went on a tear back then, which helped all the other industries that Reebok was involved in. In the mid-1980s, the originally English company greatly expanded its sphere of influence overseas, and Reebok sneakers began to become a global phenomenon.
Retro models and combat sports
Despite the public's initial scepticism, Reebok shoes now play a strong role in streetwearculture outside of sport . The idea of resurrecting several retro models has contributed to this. These include the Reebok Daytona, Instapump Fury or Reebok Aztrek sneakers, which perfectly captured the retro trend of recent years. Reebok is now a subsidiary of German giant adidas, among others, and its current policy is to support sporting events around the world. Some of the most famous ones include the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship). It is therefore no surprise that Conor McGregor has become the main face of the new Reebok Zig Kinetica.
But besides sneakers, you'll also findReeboksportswear and casual wear at Footshop. There are T-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets and slippers, so you can put together an entire outfit in either men's or women's versions. So explore our range and get the quality that's been proven for centuries.
