Materials
UpperSuedeSuedeLeather with a characteristic brushed finish and a soft, velvety texture. Unlike smooth leather, it is produced from the inside of the leather, which gives the material an unmistakable softness and suppleness. The main advantages of suede footwear include high breathability and the ability to adapt quickly to the anatomical shape of the foot, making the shoes comfortable from the first wear. Suede stands out for its depth of colour and gives the shoes a premium look. In order for the material to retain its properties and beauty, regular impregnation is recommended to ensure protection against moisture and dirt.
FootbedMicrofiberMicrofiber(Microfibre insole) is a highly functional shoe insole made of synthetic fibres that are thinner than a human hair. This material has an extraordinary ability to wick moisture and sweat away from the foot, keeping the foot dry and preventing blisters. The microfiber surface is very soft to the touch and provides a luxurious comfort feel, similar to brushed leather (suede) but with much greater durability and easier maintenance. Its breathability and quick-drying properties make it ideal for sports and leisure footwear, where it provides an optimal microclimate inside the shoe.

MidsolePolyurethane foamPolyurethane foam(PU) is a high-performance midsole material known for its exceptional dimensional stability and durability. Unlike lighter foams, PU does not break down even after hundreds of kilometres and retains its cushioning properties. Thanks to its higher density, it provides excellent stability and support, which is crucial for heavier runners or hikers with a load. It's the ideal choice for durable outdoor and work footwear where foot protection and maximum resistance to mechanical wear is a priority.
SoleRubberRubberThe rubber sole is a traditional and highly reliable element in the construction of footwear, valued especially for its extreme mechanical resistance and grip. This contact layer is made of natural or synthetic rubber, which is characterized by its high density and elasticity. Due to its physical properties, it provides excellent traction on a wide range of surfaces, from smooth asphalt to unpaved terrain. In addition, the rubber is naturally waterproof and resistant to temperature fluctuations, ensuring stability and a secure stride in a variety of climatic conditions.
User reviews
Are you a fan of tried-and-tested silhouettes and perfect workmanship? Then keep an eye out, because few brands on Footshop date their roots back to the 18th century. For almost 200 years, Germany's Birkenstock was an orthopaedic shoe brand, but it wasn't until the 1960s that it became a global phenomenon, when American Margot Fraiser became so enamored with the comfort of these shoes that she decided to expand production to include San Francisco. The open toed shoe with a cork sole quickly became highly sought after and success was not long in coming. Give in to the benefits of slippers and sandals and treat your feet to a piece from our range!
