Salomon XT-Whisper was created in response to the lack of offerings for women in the trail segment and has now returned in a reworked, unisex form after more than a decade. The shoe retains the technical heritage of the entire XT family but offers a softer, wavy aesthetic instead of sharp lines. History: from the women's version of XT-Hawk to unisex revival

The XT-Whisper was born in 2009 as a women's version of the trail shoe XT-Hawk, in response to the then-inadequate product offerings for women in the market. At the end of 2024, Salomon brought the shoe back in its original form and colorways, but this time as a unisex model. After fifteen years, the silhouette has been carefully reworked with respect to the original craftsmanship, shifting its style from masculine, hard lines to a softer, "whisper" aesthetic that appeals to a broader audience across genders without losing its running heritage.

Design

The upper features wavy mesh and reflective material panels that create a softer impression than the rigid zig-zag lines on the sides of popular models like the XT-4 and XT-6.
