Hoka® Speedgoat 7 GTX
Looking for men's trail running sneakers that can handle mud, wet grass, and muddy paths? The Speedgoat 7 GTX has your back where the pavement ends, and with its GORE-TEX membrane, it keeps your feet dry even during long runs in the wild. Just tighten the laces and you're ready to go.
The upper made of synthetic materials and textiles features the GORE-TEX Invisible Fit technology, which bonds the membrane directly to the material. This makes the sneaker waterproof while conforming to your foot without unnecessary folds. The CMEVA foam midsole cushions impacts on rocky surfaces, and the Vibram® Megagrip outsole provides traction on wet rocks and loose gravel. The quick-lacing system saves you time at the start, and you'll also find classic laces in the package, while reflective elements enhance your visibility during morning or evening runs. The low cut and standard D width fit most feet, whether you're heading to the mountains or going on outdoor hikes. This model is nicknamed after ultramarathoner Karl "Speedgoat" Meltzer. Hoka® was born in the French Alps and is known for its highly cushioned midsoles, which are especially appreciated by runners in challenging terrain. You can find the Asteroid/Galactic Grey colorway at Footshop.
Hoka® Speedgoat
Aggressive grip, stability and confidence for the technical trail - Hoka® Speedgoat
The Hoka Speedgoat is one of Hoka's most iconic trail shoes. They're designed for running on tough terrain where you need maximum traction, stability and reliable cushioning for long miles in the mountains. With a distinctive foam layer and Meta-Rocker geometry, they provide a smooth stride, sure footing and comfort even on longer races or mountain expeditions. The Speedgoat line is known for its aggressiveness and excellent foot hold, which you'll appreciate on technical sections.
The model is available in several versions depending on your running style. The Speedgoat 5 is the latest and most versatile version - lighter than the previous generation, more stable and with a redesigned upper for better breathability. The Speedgoat Mid GTX offers a raised cut and GORE-TEX® membrane for cooler or wet runs. And the Speedgoat GTX with its waterproof design is ideal for rough weather, winter runs and terrain full of mud or snow. All variants have an aggressive outsole with Vibram® Megagrip compound and 5mm grips for confidence even in tough conditions.
They work best on rocks, mud, roots, gravel and mountain trails where their grip and stable platform come into full effect. With normal trail use, you can expect a lifespan of around 600-900 km, depending on the terrain and running style. If you're looking for a shoe that will hold you up on steep climbs, technical descents and variable surfaces, the Hoka Speedgoat is the obvious choice.
