adidas Originals x Sean Wotherspoon x Atmos sustainability initiative

Sean Wotherspoon and adidas Originals are joining forces once again for their latest collaboration.Wotherspoon, known for his passion for the outdoors, channels this love into the new Hoverturf, based on the original Superturf Adventure silhouette. In collaboration with Atmos, the renowned Japanese streetwear and sneaker boutique, they’ve created a fresh colorway of the SUPERTURF ADVENTURE.

This time, sustainability takes center stage. As part of his eco-conscious lifestyle, Wotherspoon and adidas have crafted a vegan version of the model. The design features a detachable pouch that can be worn around the neck or attached to a belt loop, combining practicality and style. The collaboration extends to a capsule collection of apparel, including t-shirts, hoodies, and cargo pants, all adorned with Wotherspoon’s collaborative emblem with adidas Originals. The use of recycled materials underscores their commitment to sustainability.

In addition to the footwear and apparel, this partnership brings a creative and educational experience. The tie-dye workshop demonstrates how easy it is to upcycle clothing using materials you already have. Meanwhile, a flower workshop shows how to bring nature indoors and maintain your plants year-round, blending sustainability with fun.

How can you help reduce plastic waste?

Get a reusable cloth bag

While some plastic bags are marketed as recyclable, only a small percentage actually are. A single-use plastic bag can last forever in landfills or oceans.

Skip the straws

Say no to plastic straws. If you really need one, get a reusable straw.

Switch to a reusable bottle

Swap plastic for a reusable steel, aluminum, or glass bottle and stay hydrated on the go.

Save on laundry suds

Wash your clothes less frequently and use a cold wash setting to reduce the release of microfibers.

Get to know your trash

Eliminate sources of unnecessary waste. If you can’t reuse, recycle, or compost it, ask yourself if you really need it in the first place.

Savour a cup of good karma

Bring your own cup to coffee shops, many paper cups are lined with plastic. At the very least, skip the lid. Or better yet, save money and make your own at home.

Glass: The clear choice.

Opt for products in glass containers instead of plastic packaging, like milk and juice.

Switch to bar soap

Choose bars of soap and shampoo over liquid versions, they require little to no packaging.

Brush, naturally

Use natural/bamboo toothbrushes that are recyclable - and try making your own toothpaste too.

Sharing is caring

Explain your choices to those who ask. And to those who don’t, well, they probably need to hear it the most.
