Leather: Natural leather is a traditional material resulting from the tanning process of animal hides and skins, which occupies a key position in the footwear and haberdashery industry due to its mechanical resistance, breathability and aesthetic value. The specific reticular structure of the collagen fibres allows the material to adapt to the user's anatomy, resulting in optimum wearing comfort. As a hygroscopic material, the leather naturally regulates moisture and ensures air circulation. The appearance and functional properties, such as the degree of water repellency or texture, are defined by the specific type of technological processing, which include smooth finishes, suede or nubuck.
Textile: The textile upper of the sneakers is lightweight, breathable and comfortable, ideal for everyday wear and sports. It ensures air circulation, keeps feet fresh and adapts to their shape. Often complemented with synthetic or rubber details for durability and support.
OrthoLite®: It is the world standard in shoe insoles, combining a specific polyurethane foam with open-cell technology. Unlike conventional insoles, OrthoLite® does not collapse over time - it retains more than 95% of its original cushioning and shape. Its breathability allows air to circulate directly around the foot, effectively wicking away moisture and keeping the shoe cooler. Plus, it contains an antimicrobial treatment that fights bacteria and odor. It's a lightweight, eco-friendly (contains recycled rubber) and highly comfortable layer that you'll find in quality running, outdoor and urban footwear.
When French tennis player René Lacoste was travelling with the Davis Cup team to Boston in the 1920s, he noticed a suitcase with a crocodile pattern. "If you win, I'll buy it for you," his coach told the future tennis number one and founder of a fashion empire. Neither of them knew at the time just how influential the young Lacoste would be on fashion and trends in the future.
After the end of his career, in 1933, Lacoste officially founded the eponymous brand, which he imprinted with his long-standing alligator nickname. The fashion world would probably never have been the same place if Lacoste hadn't come up with a new cut of T-shirts back then. A collar, a few buttons at the neck, short sleeves, and the so-called polo was born.
Tennis attire gradually became a trend that took polo shirts off the courts and onto the streets. Nowadays, Lacoste will dress you from top to bottom, at a good price and above all with quality. In our selection you will find T-shirts, trousers, sweatshirts or caps. So put together your crocodile outfit.
