Traditionally, Star Wars Day is celebrated on May 4th, as a reference to Obi Wan Kenobi’s immortal quote, “may the Force be with you” (get it?). This year, Footshop teamed up with (slightly unconventionally) LEGO for the occasion – we’ve prepared some inspiration for your outfits, as well as several important times Star Wars influenced the world of streetwear in these past few years.
Last year, when LEGO appeared on Footshop’s website for the first time, side by side with highly limited sneakers, it might have seemed slightly confusing. Is our store turning into a toy store? The truth is that, apart from premium collections and exclusive sneakers, we’d also like to offer products that can look great in your home, too. Like the collectible sets that you can find here, all in one place, featuring iconic motives from the saga.
The Star Wars took the world by storm with it’s first (chronologically fourth) episode back in 1977. Almost 50 years have passed since then, when the first Star Wars set trends that remain unchanged to this day – and not just in cinematography. And that’s why we’ve decided to put together six iconic outfits you can put together from products available at our store. So whether you feel like a Sith lord, a soldier during the Battle for Endor or like a gunslinger in Mandalorian armour today, we’ve got you covered.
I said we put together six outfits, even though there’s quite clearly only five here – the final, and, in my opinion, the best outfit will be posted on our global Instagram on May the 6th, so make sure you don’t miss it!
STAR WARS AT FOOTSHOP
On our website, we also have several unique LEGO Star Wars sets. My personal recommendation would be any of the helmets or the legendary Tatooine canteen, which is bound to keep you occupied at least until the next Star Wars day with its details and features.
It’s not just LEGO carrying the legacy of the most popular film series on our website. In the last couple of years, a lot of limited sneaker and clothing collections featuring George Lucas’s epic tale have come out – we’ve talked about the best Star Wars sneakers during last year’s Star Wars Day.
